When Rose wakes up in a strange tavern bedchamber with no memory of who she is or how she got there, all she knows is fear. But that fear is heightened when she hears a cheering crowd and looks from the window to see that the view is of the scaffold of the Tower. A young man is being led, screaming out his innocence, up the steps of that scaffold and towards the block where the executioner waits to cut off his head. But why does that young man look familiar to Rose and why does his death cause her so much grief?
